The Department of Romance Studies at Boston University invites applications for a full-time Lecturer in Spanish, beginning July 1, 2026. Candidates must have native or near-native proficiency in Spanish and English, a Master's degree or PhD in Spanish, Language Acquisition, or a related field, and at least three years of college-level teaching experience demonstrating excellence. We seek individuals who demonstrate a commitment to inclusive and innovative language teaching practices. Responsibilities include teaching six courses per year, from beginning to advanced language and culture, coordinating multi-section language courses, and contributing to curriculum development in a dynamic and collaborative language program. Proficiency in Portuguese is a plus. The starting salary for this position is $72,000. The position offers a professional career track with possibilities for growth.
